About

Who are we? Award-winning Adelaide vocal group Voice of Transition has been wowing audiences since it’s inception in 2008. From Adelaide Fringe Festivals, private functions and tours, to supporting artists such as Kate Ceberano, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Barry Humphries in the Adelaide Cabaret Festival – Voice of Transition is in high demand. Voice of Transition is made up of young adults 18-30, all graduate students of acclaimed Adelaide musician Kim Spargo. No genre is overlooked, as they venture to create complex arrangements of songs we all know and quirky songs that slide under the radar. Their broad range of repertoire and outstanding vocal blend will entertain and excite. We ain’t too hard on the eyes, either. Just saying.

What are we? Four parts, sometimes six, sometimes eight singing anything that takes our fancy. Some favourites have included:

  • “Fix You” by Coldplay (Arr. Kim Spargo)
  • “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder
  • “Better Be Home Soon” by Crowded House, arranged a cappella by Jacob Morris
  • “Seasons of Love” by Jonathan Larson from the musical Rent (Arr. Kim Spargo)
  • “At Last” by Etta James
  • “Kaleidoscope Heart” and “Uncharted” by Sara Barellies
  • “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield, arranged a cappella by the boys

Where are we? Adelaide, generally, but we toured to Port Macquarie as SA delegates for Choralfest 2010; and we’re off to Melbourne in September 2015 to compete in the Battle Rounds of the GET VOCAL Australian A Cappella Festival.
